View or change application settings

To view or change application settings, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Applications list, select the application you want to view or change. The Applications / Details page appears.

  2. Select the Settings tab. The following information is displayed:

    Field Description
    Application Name Displays the application name. To change the application name, select the Application Name field and enter a new application name.
    Priority Assigning an application priority can help you rank and organize your applications based on overall criticality. To assign a risk rating for the application, select the Priority field and then pick a level of criticality from the list.
    Privilege Reader This field displays the connector that is used to import data from the application into Permission Assist. A complete list of connectors is available within the System Configuration > Software Updates area.
    Advanced Configuration Some applications may have advanced configuration settings that can be changed. If you'd like assistance with the advanced configuration options, visit our support portal at: https://smatech2.my.site.com/SMASupportPortal.

    Note

    • The meaning of each priority level is determined by your organization in conjunction with your auditors
    • Risk ratings for specific privileges can be set within the Privileges tab
  3. When you have finished making changes, select the Save button. A success message is displayed in the upper, right corner of the window.
