Start remediation (for reviewers)

Your Permission Assist Administrators can set up Permission Assist to automatically start remediation or to manually start remediation (defined in the System Configuration > Taskboards > Review area).

If Permission Assist was set up to start remediation automatically, the remediation process begins when a review item is flagged.

To start remediation manually, complete the following steps from the Review Items Taskboard:

  1. Select the item you want to remediate.

  2. Select the Actions button in the upper right corner of the review item details area, and pick Start Remediation from the list.

    The Start Remediation window appears:

  3. Select one of the following options:

    Option Description
    Make Changes Walks you through selecting which permissions should be changed and creates an access request for the Provision Team.
    Remove Creates an access request to permanently remove the user account. A comment is required in some configurations.

    An access request is created and sent to the Provision Team.
