Add a responder to an access request

There are times when you may need to invite others to the pre-approval or post-verification process of an access request. Invited responders can act as a role that is required for pre-approval or post-verification.

Note

Responders cannot be added as a Provision Engineer role. To grant Provision Engineer access, the person must be added to the Provision Team in System Configuration > System Authentication or designated as a Provision Engineer on an application's Responsibilities tab.

To add a responder to an access request, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Change Management Taskboard, select the access request. The access request details page is displayed.

  2. Select the Actions (...) button in the upper right corner of the page.

  3. Select Add Responder. The Add Responder window is displayed.

  4. Select the Select an identity... field and pick the person you want to add as a responder. The available roles are displayed.

    Note

    The roles displayed are determined by the pre-approval and post-verification rules defined in System Configuration > Taskboards > Access Requests > Workflow tab.

  5. Select one or more roles that the new responder can act as. For example, if your post-verification process requires an Application Manager to verify changes, you can add someone as an Application Manager responder.

  6. Select the Save button. The responder is added and can log into Permission Assist to complete the pre-approval or post-verification process.
