Edit a pending role transition event¶
After creating a role transition event, you can update the details before the event is approved. Use this procedure if any information was entered incorrectly or if the access model selections need to change.
Note
Editing is only available while the event has a Pending status. Once the Approve step is completed, the event details cannot be changed.
To edit a pending role transition event, complete the following steps:
- Go to the My Taskboards menu and select Personnel Events.
- Select the role transition event. The event detail page is displayed.
- Select the Actions (...) button and select Edit. The Edit Details window is displayed.

Update the identity details as needed:
Field Description First Name The person's first name. Required. Last Name The person's last name. Required. Identity Type The type of identity — for example, Employee or Service Account. Required. Description Optional notes about the identity. -
(Optional) Update the profile photo:
a. Select the Browse button to search for an image, or drag and drop a file onto the photo area.
b. Adjust the crop as needed.
Note
To remove an existing photo, select the photo to open the crop view, then select the trash button that appears.

Update the organization details for the new role as needed:
Field Description Company The company the person belongs to. Division The division within the company. Department The department within the division. Office The office or location. Title The person's new job title. Supervisor Name The person's supervisor for the new role. You can select an existing value from the list or enter a new value to create it.

(Optional) If your organization uses custom fields, update the custom field values as needed.
- Update the access model selections as needed. Select or clear access models to adjust what access will be changed when the event is approved.
- (Optional) In the Additional instructions area, enter any additional instructions or explanation for the change.
- Select the Save Changes button. The event detail page reloads with the updated information. All changes are recorded in the event's history.
