Initiate a personnel event

If you are a member of the Personnel Managers group in System Configuration > System Authentication, you can initiate personnel events such as onboarding, offboarding, role transitions, and leaves of absence.

To initiate a personnel event, complete the following steps:

  1. Select the Request button at the top of Permission Assist. The Create Request page is displayed.

  2. Select one of the following personnel event options:

    Option Description
    Onboarding Select this option when a new person joins your organization
    Offboarding Select this option when someone leaves your organization
    Role Transition Select this option when an employee is transitioning from one role or job title to another
    Leave of Absence Select this option when an employee is going on a leave of absence
    Change User Select this option to request a change of permissions within an application for a specific user account

    Note

    The Change User option is only available to the following:
    Security Team, Application Managers (the applications they manage), Provision Team, Provision Engineers (the applications they provision), Personnel Managers

  3. Select the Start button. Permission Assist walks you through the process for the selected event type.
