Stand-in Reviewer Items report¶
How to view or generate this report
Go to Reports > Reviews > Stand-in Reviewers.
The Stand-in Reviewer Items report lists every review item that was completed with at least one surrogate reviewer response — meaning a stand-in (typically a designated backup or the Security Team itself) acted in place of the original assigned reviewer. Stand-in routing exists so reviews can finish on time even when an assigned reviewer is on leave, has left the company, or otherwise can't respond, but it represents a deliberate exception to the standard routing rules and is worth tracking.
Auto-approved items are excluded — this report is specifically about items where a human stand-in stepped in.
When to use this report¶
- Routing health. Frequent stand-in activity for the same application or reviewer suggests the underlying assignments need attention.
- Audit transparency. When an auditor asks "Who actually reviewed these items?", having a clean answer for the surrogate-handled items prevents follow-up questions.
- Surrogate-assignment tuning. Use the report to verify that surrogate assignments are routing to the right people for the volume they're handling.
What this report includes¶
Every review item in the selected review that meets both of:
- The item was not auto-approved.
- At least one of the item's response requirements was satisfied by a surrogate (stand-in) reviewer.
Output formats¶
The report is exported from the Reports section of an open or completed review. Five export options are available:
| Format | Mode | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Excel | Summary | A compact spreadsheet listing every stand-in-reviewed item, one row each. |
| Excel | Details | A spreadsheet with a full block per item, including the action history. |
| Excel | Flat | A single flat table with one row per action — the Acting As column makes the surrogate role explicit. |
| Summary | A printable summary grouped by application. | |
| Details | A printable, per-item PDF with each item's full action history. |
Section structure and columns¶
The output structure, modes, and column layouts are identical to the All Review Items report — the only difference is the filter (this report shows only items completed with at least one surrogate response). See that page's Excel — Summary, Excel — Details, Excel — Flat, PDF — Summary, and PDF — Details sections for the full column reference.
