Add a Responder to an Access Request
There are times when you may need to invite others to the pre-approval or post-verification process of an access request. In these cases, you can add a responder. Invited responders can complete access requests as a role that is required for pre-approval or post-verification.
NOTE: Responders cannot be added as a Provision Engineer role. To have Provision Engineer access, they must be given authority either within the System Configuration > System Authentication area or within a application's Responsibilities tab.
-
Within the Change Management Taskboard, select the access request to which you want to add a responder. The access request details page is displayed.
-
Select the select the Actions button in the top right corner of the page.
-
Select the Add Responder option. The Add Responder window is displayed.
-
Select the Select an identity... field and pick the person you want to add as a responder. The roles that they can act as are displayed (see picture below).
NOTE: The roles displayed in this area are determined based on the pre-approval and post-verification rules defined in the System Configuration > Taskboards: Access Requests > Workflow tab.
-
Select one or more roles that the new responder can make decisions as. For example, if your post-verification process requires an Application Manager to verify changes, you can add someone to fill in as a Application Manager by adding a responder and selecting the Application Manager role.
-
Select Save. The responder is added and can now log into Permission Assist to complete the pre-approval or post-verification process.
