Remove an Existing Plugin

Before removing a plugin, please note the following:

  • Any user currently logged into Permission Assist will be automatically logged out, and Permission Assist will be restarted.

  • Only Permission Assist Administrators have authorization to remove plugins.

  1. Select the System Configuration cogwheel in the upper right corner of Permission Assist and select Installed Plugins.

  2. In the list of plugins, locate the plugin to be removed.

  3. Select the Remove Plugin link near the upper, right corner of the plugin title. The Remove Plugin window is displayed.

  4. Select Remove. The plugin is removed and Permission Assist is restarted.

    • Permissions within open reviews will not be affected by this change.

    • Applications that are using this plugin will not be removed from the applications list so existing import logs/data remain intact. However, if you were to open the Application Details page and look at the Settings tab at this point, you would notice that the Privilege Reader field is set to question marks. This link will be automatically restored if the plugin is added again, but it's important to note that at this point no new imports for any applications using the plugin can occur.
